Assembling line for Roomster cars
Realization: 2005, November - 2006, April
Customer: Chropyňská strojírna a. s.
Main investor: Škoda Auto a. s.
Subject of the contract: control software, hardware
The assembling line consists of two parts from the viewpoint of controlling: a slat and wheel conveyer is the first and EMS is the second one. Assembly starts at the slat conveyer, then an automobile body is hung to the EMS (Electric Monorail System) and settled down back to the wheel conveyer in the end.
The EMS part is controlled by one programmable controller Siemens 317-2DP and one data concentrator LJU DKZ. Monorail conveyer itself has a constant elevation while automobile bodies are hung on vehicles with variable elevation. The data concentrator receives the data sent in the form of telegram from Siemens controllers, processes the data and sends them to the particular LJU controllers. LJU controllers control the movement of the vehicles in accordance with the received data, namely forward motion and hoisting up and down. The slat and wheel conveyer is controlled by programmable controller Siemens 318-2DP.
Programmable controllers made by Bernecker&Rainer company were used besides the Siemens controllers. They are used as the converters making communication between PanelWare (B&R again) and the other control units possible.
Distributed I/O BL67 blocks by TURCK company were used as the I/O devices. These blocks are water and dust resistance so they can be used even in the very tough production conditions.
Communication between Siemens programmable controllers and LJU DKZ data concentrator is realized via LJU bus. This is a special bus working with LJU proprietary protocol based on RS-485. The physical realization of the protocol is a feature of the project: communication runs via rail, using rail bus system. PanelWare communication runs via CAN bus. Conversion between LJU and CAN is provided by B&R programmable controllers. Ethernet is used only for industry visualization access. Visualization was programmed in WinCC development environment.
