Extension of the EMS line
Realization: December 2006
Customer: Promus
Main investor: Škoda Auto a. s.
Subject of the contract: control software, electrical equipment
Our company was ordered to make an adaptation of an EMS vehicles assembly line in Škoda Auto assembly hall. It was decided to lengthen all the line by two operating positions. This solution demanded both physical extension of the line and software and electrical equipment modifications.
It was necessary to cut off, divert, adjust and connect the line. We added trolley lines and adapted wiring layout. LJU units operation demanded reference rails programming from the point where the line was cut off. Two transfers for EHB vehicles drives needed shifting against the direction of the line and one transfer was shifted down the direction of the line. The engine was changed for this transfer because a new waiting position was introduced which the old engine was not able to drive EMS vehicle from. Modification in control software were done in the end (PLC Series 90-70 ladder logic).
