For the new model of SEAT vehicle, it was necessary to adapt the development workplace, which is located in two corresponding places (tacts) of the assembly line. At the first tact it was necessary to fill the workplace with two manipulators to enable tightening of a single set of SEAT rear axle frames and to adjust the position of the vehicle body retainer. At the next tact it was necessary to supplement the manipulator with a hitch for a new tightener. We ensured checking of the tightening of connections, collection of data for the refurbishing station and data for EC and PLC as well as control of the manipulators, control of the control panel and visualisation of faults. The control software for the refurbishing station was completely reworked into the open system Proficy Cimplicity.
Realisation occurred during the Christmas holiday downtime in 2015 (the company-wide planned downtime at Škoda Auto a.s., normally lasting 14 days).
