System for collecting data from machining devices – expansion to additional machines
Reference number: 151081

Investor: ŠKODA AUTO a.s., Mladá Boleslav

Objective:Connection of a new BDE10 (counter of produced pieces on machining tools), BE12 and BDE13 in assembly facility M2 (production of aggregates, engines) at ŠKODA AUTO a.s. Mladá Boleslav

Chosen solution:

This project implements adjustments to equipment in the system of collection and evaluation of operating data from machining tools (BDE). Activation of stopped parts of the system occurred after the reconstruction in the facility. Collection and evaluation of operating data from machining tools was realised using a discrete signal. It is obtained by adding optical or other types of sensors (depending on the character of the machine), which collect information about the running of the machine.

The project was realised in February 2016.

Used technology:

Project documentation for electrical connection:

-          program E-Plan P8 version 2.4

Used programs, programming and development environment:

-          PLC S7-1200 from Siemens

-          Siemens TIA portal V11 (PLC programming)

-          Embarcadero RAD Studio - Delphi

-          Image Configuration Editor – W7 Embedded Standard, supplemented by module ewfmgr

-          PC panel Autocont of series AFL-15A

Hardware:

-          Rittal distribution cabinet

-          Securing elements – Eaton

-          Multiple terminal connectors - Turck

-          Buttons, controls, signals SIEMENS/Schneider

-          Induction/optical sensors - Turck/Sick/Balluff

-          Clamps – Wago

-          Cables for sensors, adapter plugs - Lappkabel

Project pitfalls:

In this project we resolved the impenetrability of passages to the local network and communication with it. We enabled communication in the scope necessary for cooperation with the customer.
